I currently have a full-time retail job but am looking to make childcare my career. I have extensive experience with kids of various ages as well as in a variety of settings. I first started babysitting in high school and once I graduated I began working at an after school childcare center, working with kids in kindergarten through fifth grade. Then I acquired a full-time nanny position in which I worked for a single-mother. When I began, her daughter was two and her son was three and I provided care for them during the weekdays while their mother was working. I was responsible for basic care, meals, potty training, bathing, keeping them on a regular nap schedule, light cleaning, and of course, making sure to maintain a healthy balance between fun and discipline. Later on, I also prepared the elder child for school and drove him to and from kindergarten. In addition, the past two years I have coached a fourth and fifth grade basketball team. I am very outgoing and athletic. I love being around kids as well as animals and would happily take care of the family pet.
