I am currently the part time nanny for a wonderful family in Carmel, Indiana with one almost 3 year old boy and baby girl who was born in July. I started working for them in Feb. of 2010 when their son was just 5 weeks old.

Before my current position, I was a teacher at a daycare from March 2006 to January 2010. I was first hired on at the daycare as a floater but spent a lot of time in the two's, three's, four's, and school age's. Being a floater gave me experience with infants through preteen. Within 6 months I was promoted to be lead teacher in the infant room where I cared for 4 infants at a time ages 6 weeks to 12 months. I was in the infant room just under a year before I moved to the one's room where I cared and created a safe, fun, and stimulating environment for the children to learn and grow. I was in the one's room around a year and then moved to the two's where I stayed until I left in 2010. In the two's room I was in charge of 5-7 2 year old's. I created a weekly schedule that met each child's educational, emotional, and creative needs. In the daycare it was required on a daily basis each child in the one's room and up have one craft, one worksheet, one sensory activity, outside time (weather permitting), and plenty of free play.

I have potty trained close to 20 kids.
I have experience with multiples as well as special needs.
I have cared for pets while being a nanny.
I was CPR and First Aid certified and I am willing to be re- certified.

I have two nephews who are 8 and 10 who I absolutely adore spending time with.

I have been babysitting since I was 11. When I first started it was mainly for friends of my parents and my sister. When my oldest nephew was born 10 year ago I spent the first 2 years of his life watching him Monday-Friday from the time I got out of school until 9 or 10 p.m. Once I started at the daycare I met several families who needed additional care in the evenings and on the weekends. There are still a few families I met through the daycare that I babysit for.

You become so attached to not only the children but also the family as a whole that it's almost impossible to leave them behind all together. I truly believe working with children is the most rewarding job anyone could ever have. You learn so much while you are teaching them. My experience with children has taught me things I will never forget and I will never forget those who have taught me.
