Hello and thanks for stopping by! My name is Ashleigh. I'm 21 years old, currently employed at the a children's museum in Richmond and also pursuing a degree in the field of education. I have always had a caring nature and I have been caring for children and their families for over 7 years. I have had a variation of experiences from caring for infants to taking care of the entire household and accompanying families on their vacations as well. In my years, I have come to learn a lot from the children I care for and those I encounter daily at work. Playing is very important! It allows them to inadvertently develop new ways to solve problems and ultimately make better decisions later in life. So naturally I try to make sure I incorporate plenty of time to play when I am with the chilren I care for.
I am a very flexible person and I understand that in order to provide quality care it is necessary to compromise and work together. While a part of care plans for families in the past I have not only taken care of the children but of the house as well. Whether it's tidying up after the children or doing a load of laundry and preparing dinner I personally consider it my duty to make the lives of the families I help a little easier. If I have done that then I can consider it a job well done!
