I love working with children. The chance to be a positive, encouraging person in a child's life is very important to me. My parents have cared for foster children ever since I was a teenager, and I have experience caring for children of all walks and ages. I babysat on a regular basis since I was 12, insuring not only the children's safety but also their health and happiness. I like to make sure kids are engaged and having fun in what they are doing. I spent eight years working at a summer day camp, two of these years I served as Director, leading the whole camp. I have my Elementary school teacher's credential. I have experience caring for children with autism, and learning needs. My absolute favorite activity to share with children and students is reading out loud, because we are never too young or old to enjoy a good book.
