I have been working with young children for six years now in a variety of settings: elementary teacher, preschool teacher, nanny and after-school care. I started working with children as a teacher's assistant at a preschool. While there, I worked in most of the classrooms, which ranged in age from 2 years to 5 years. Working as a teacher's assistant gave me so much insight into what children need in order to learn and grow optimally. It also taught me what children respond the best to in regards to learning. While still working as a teacher's assistant, I was lucky enough to start nannying part time for a wonderful family. I stayed with that family for three years, and then moved onto my most recent family. My experience working with children has made me love children even more than I did before. I love seeing how children learn new things, and their excitement that they have for the world.
