In high school I was a babysitter for two of the neighborhood children a boy from age 1 - 3, and a girl age 4 - 5. Throughout the day I prepared meals and organized creative activities. I also was a religion instructor at St. James Lutheran Church in Burnsville, MN for children grades kindergarten through second. I designed lessons for each class period that allowed the children to learn interactively while exploring their faith. In May 2012, I will be completing my undergraduate education at Minnesota State University, Mankato where I played division 1 college hockey. Being a student athlete I had the opportunity to work closely with the youth hockey program in Mankato. I also worked as a camp counselor for the Reebok High Performance Select 15 & 16 Girls Hockey Camp. As camp counselor my responsibilities included, leading camp activities, coaching practices, as well as interacting with the children and parents to create a safe and engaging environment.
