Hello parents!
My name is Ari, and I just moved to San Francisco from Sacramento to attend San Francisco State University. I am an English Education major (and aspiring ESL teacher), with a solid background caring for children ranging in age from 4 months to 12 years old.
Most recently, I worked for six months as a nanny for twin baby boys (from age 4-11 months) and their 5-year-old big brother. I gained experience in sleep training, introducing solids, caring for multiple children, preparing meals, naps and bedtime, and light household chores. I also know a whole bunch about dinosaurs, thanks to the 5-year-old!
I also babysat a little girl (now almost a teenager!) for two years, from age 10 to 12. I had one regular (overnight) shift a week, plus occasional weekend nights. I must confess, this never felt like work, because she is the coolest, smartest, most mature 12-year-old in the world. She never had to be told to do her homework or go to bed, and she would even cook me dinner!
To give an idea of what kind of nanny I am, here's a few of my favorite things to do with kids: read books, play outside and explore, art projects (making corn husk dolls, potato stamps, paper mache), Legos, Play-Doh, and cooking/baking. I can also help with homework (this is for the older kids, of course) - especially reading and writing, since I'm an English Education major!
I would also like to mention that my pediatric First Aid and CPR has expired, but I am getting it renewed on Saturday, March 3rd. I also have current flu, MMR, and Hepatitis A and B vaccinations. I haven't had a TB test in a few years, but I would be happy to get one if needed. Proof of all of this is gladly given, along with my references and background check.
Thank you for taking the time to read my profile, and good luck on your nanny search!
