I have cared for two families children professionally and raised three children of my own. I have also enjoyed a successful professional career as a wedding and event planner but miss interacting and caring for children.
I am creative, energetic, nurturing and thoughtful in my approach. I would much rather engage children in a game or helping to prepare dinner than to have them "plugged in" to computers, TV or video games. I love outdoors, whether sledding, hiking or bike riding. I have successfully taught numerous kids to ride a bike, including a young adult with autism.
I am open to working with a family to identify what their particular needs are and helping to manage and organize a busy household, including meal prep. While I am am open to doing many day to day tasks, I am not interested in a housekeeping position.
My dream job would be a fun, happy household that would benefit from the support and energy that I can offer. I am flexible about hours and pets, homework and project help. I would also be fine with caring for a sick child. I enjoy children of all ages, including infants.
I have been in the same community for over 20 years and can provide as many references as required.
