While raising my own children I owned and operated a highly successful daycare and preschool in my own home. By creating a warm, loving atmosphere for over 60 children over a 10 year period, I take pride in the fact that I helped teach and tutor these children, preparing them for success in the coming years. When an uncle asked me, "Annette, what do you teach your children?", I responded, "Well, I teach them to say "please" and "thank you", put their dishes in the sink, flush, wash and to be kind." He said, "... but what do you teach them?" I just smiled.

In my preschool, not only did I teach my students the "Three Rs", I also taught them about music, art, geography, and different cultures. I was an English Lit. major in college and love to read. I especially love children's books!
