My experience taking care of children includes volunteering in my church daycare and babysitting for neighbors and family friends. I usually work with children between 2yrs-7yrs old but I have worked with older. I also have personal experience with disabled children. I've assisted in the care of a family friend's daughter for years and I have my own twin sister with autism who I've had to babysit on several occasions. Throughout most of my teen years, my working with children has been consistently on a volunteer and "as a favor" basis so it's hard to say how much "paid" experience I have, but my experience working with children goes back 5 yrs. When I have worked for pay I've left leaving the home as clean as it was when I got there, so there are no messes in the kitchen from meal time and any toys played with are put back when they've finished. I'm currently finishing my senior year in high school and plan to enroll in training to become a licensed respite/personal care provider.
