I have been employed by a company called LINC for 4+ years. It is a before and after school program and I work with children ages 5-12. Mostly, I work with girls ages 8-12. During the duration of my employment with LINC, I have mentored students to help enhance their self-esteem and build positive relationships amongst their peers. I implemented and engaged in character building activities such as chants, songs and dances and assisted students with homework and reading assignments. When necessary, I worked one on one with students. During the football season of 2011, I created a cheer-leading squad to support and motivate boys ages 5-8 during their flag football games. In addition, I taught girls on the squad teamwork, creativity, responsibility and leadership.
