My name is Angela. I'm 21 years old. I have been working at Step By Step Montessori School in the infant-and-toddler programs for the last three years. I started in the infant program and was there for a year and a half. In the room there were 16 infants from the age of 6 weeks to 16 months with four staff. My responsibilities included changing diapers, preparing bottles, helping developing basic motor skills, as well as keeping them content while not in the care of their parents. In time, my director thought I would be a good candidate for the toddler program in which one other woman and I cared for 14 children from the ages of 16 to 24 months. We helped them work on their self-help skills such as helping pick up after themselves and using a cup. I do have some schooling in early childhood development.
