As a current teacher and former nanny, I am passionate about helping children reach their full potential. I strive to nurture children's social, physical, emotional, and cognitive development. My experience includes working as a babysitter for three young girls during the summers throughout my teenage years. Upon graduating from Ohio University, I worked as a full-time nanny for two young girls. When I started providing care for these two young girls, they were of the ages of 18 months and 2 . My responsibilities and duties included light housekeeping, carpooling, swimming supervision, devising arts and crafts activities as well as taking them on educational outings. I feel confident that I will meet the emotional and physical needs of any children in my supervision and facilitate appropriate social interactions. Being a former cheerleader required me to be very positive and energetic. I still find myself to be very active, energetic and positive as it comes naturally. I enjoy being outside and learning about my natural surroundings. I also enjoy reading and finding new childrens books to read to young children. I would initiate organizing times to attend a local library 's story time when available. Finally, I am able to effectively communicate with parents in order to report all accomplishments or areas of concern.
