Angela B.

Angela is currently our Nanny. We interviewed several qualified candidates over the phone and then held personal interviews for 2 of those. Angela immediately made us feel comfortable as we instantly felt her desire to care for and love children (and babies!) and we felt like she was totally confident in her abilities to provide the best care. When Angela watches my son I feel like my Mom is watching him as she takes care of him as well as his own Nana would. She is a loving mother to her own kids and that translates to her care of our child. She is very patient and very knowledgeable about babies and their nuances. She is CPR certified and educated in First-Aid. She takes it upon herself to learn the new evolving aspects of child-rearing and child development. In the position we were offering we had asked for light housekeeping when time permits (above and beyond the baby's bottles, etc) and Angela always picks up a broom or the vacuum cleaner when he is asleep. I find that to be SO helpful as a first-time Mom without time to do "everything". She is punctual and always eager to help. She also is very sensitive to the Mother-Child relationship and is very respectful and encouraging of that bond when I come home. Our story: I was about to go back to work part-time and needed someone to watch our 3-month-old son for 20 hours a week. We had 1 week of shadowing for an hour or so in the mornings that was only necessary as far as showing her where things were in the house and how our baby gear worked. I have been working now for 6 weeks and it has been a great experience. I highly recommend Angela so far and look forward to spending more time with her in the future.
