Before you go further into the reading, I'd like to say that I am currently working part time for 2 amazing families that unfortunately won't need me as much hours anymore. So I am looking for a full time job position (+40 hours/week), preferably office hours, from summer on, or at least starting in May, no sooner than that, in respect to them, so I can give them notice and they can find a replacement. :)
My Experience: As a babysitter, I have been assisting moms and dads since 2002. Most of my experience is related to younger children - infants and children up to age 9. I feel comfortable (and have experience) taking care children while parents are away (business/vacation trips).
Activities for children: day field trips to: parks, museums, aquarium, zoo (attractions nearby your home); picnics; arts and crafts; outside fun (blowing bubbles, coloring rocks, learning about mother nature), swimming pool; cooking; crafts; board games; sports; reading and acting out a book; make homemade play-doh; building a castle or spaceship out of a cardboard; bike riding; tag; hide and seek, etc.
Some of the duties I've performed include: transportation to and from school and after school activities (sports, swimming, etc), cooking meals, help with homework, bath/showers, light housekeeping (such as tidy up kitchen and children's areas, laundry), grocery shopping, play dates, carpooling.
About me: I love kids and pets (no allergies). I've always been very child-oriented. Family and friends would describe as motivated, trustworthy, outgoing, reliable and responsible. I am very respectful and I take directions well, but I am also able to act independently. I will check in regularly and make sure things are going well. I appreciate honesty. I am very warm, down to earth, affectionate and friendly. I have the ability to adjust to new circumstances quickly. And I'm very calm and patient, meaning I don't panic when things get out of control.
