For the last 20 years I have helped moms with their children, from 6 weeks to 15 years. As a mother's helper (when I was still a child myself), to full time summer care and vacations with families, and nursery work through our church. The most rewarding care I was able to offer to a family was when a friend fostered-to-adopt and they could only have caregivers who had passed a SLED background check, which I had for my teaching license. Now as a mom, and an aunt, I know how important it is for younger ones to have time to play, learn, and socialize, with a responsible, loving adult.
