I am a fun loving, energetic, passionate care giver seeking a full time nanny position. I have been an education major at Meredith College for three years and have recently decided to transfer to online classes due to a new addition to my family. I have taken many courses in child development, psychology, and infancy and adolescence. As I recently stated I have a little girl who is now 10 months old and I am eagerly searching for a nanny position so that I might be able to expose her to the benefits of learning both cognitive and social skills that can only be instilled by being around other children.
I do have experience with children other than my own. I have been a nanny for the past three summers for three different families. The first being a 2-year-old girl and 5-year-old boy and the second being a 5-year-old boy, a 9-year-old boy, and a 13-year-old girl and finally a new born baby boy. Other experience includes occasional sitting for a family of six children ranging now in ages of 4 to 15 (I have been watching them since the 8-year-old twins were 3). My most recent experience included caring for both a baby boy who is now seven months and, a 3-year-old boy.
Philosophy for care giving:
* I believe that it is important to make learning fun for children and that hands on activities can be a valuable tool when teaching children
* It's important for children to have at least an hour of physical activity a day
* Children deserve a nurturing environment in which they feel comfortable exploring and learning new trades.
