Directly out of college, I began working at the kids club in Menominee, MI. I worked for their after school program, working directly with elementary students in two schools in Marinette, WI. I was a supervisor during the spring semester and also worked at the club building. I am currently employed in Monroe, WI. I worked for 3 years in a daycare center. I have worked with all ages, from 6 weeks to school age. I offer a wide range of activities for kids of all ages. I love to read books. Reading, I believe, is one of the most important activities a child can experience on a daily basis. Besides books, I also love doing arts and crafts and come up with fun ideas to create for various holidays and special occasions. I am also very athletic, love all kinds of sports, and love being outside and going on walks. I appreciate nice weather because outdoor play is always important! I feel that I am able to set boundaries and enforce rules, while still allowing for growth and exploring for kids. Mutual respect and trust is a must when working with kids and parents. I offer the safest possible environment to all kids who are left in my care. I also work a lot with our 3-year-old daughter now that I am home with her more. I enjoy watching her grow with every experience and would love to be able to do the same with the right family or group of kids.

I would also like to note that after working with school aged children and being able to help them with homework and projects, I would be willing to offer before and after school care to families that need it, including snow days or early release days.
