I moved here from the UK two years ago, and although I have been working as a nanny here for just over 18 months, I have many years' experience of looking after children in the UK. I have worked both full time and part time, caring for infants up to the age of 2 years. I have regularly babysat for a family of 3 children, ranging in age from 2 years to 11 years of age and I also babysit on occasion for other children, some of whom have special needs. Prior to moving to the US, I enjoyed a successful career in banking for over 21 years before deciding to re-train as a teaching assistant. Having gained two teaching assistant qualifications, I worked in both senior and elementary schools, helping students with behavioral and emotional problems and physical disabilities, and assisting in a class of 8 and 9-year-olds. I enjoy interacting with children, watching them have fun and grow through discovery. I am always fascinated by their ability and willingness to learn and take on new challenges and my sense of humor seems to appeal to them. I treat each child as an individual and realize the importance of providing them with a safe, secure environment in which to play and learn.
