I started caring for children at the age of 14 years old. Since then I have cared for about 20 different children ages newborn to 12 years old. I am trilingual (English, Portuguese and Spanish) and a college graduate from Brazil (International Relations). I also have a special needs (g-tube and more) twin and infant experience. I am looking for a long-term position to start around April, and I am really flexible with the schedule. I enjoy being outside, taking walks, going to the park, playgroups, art & gym classes, etc. I also enjoy doing things that may be better suited for inside like to reading, art projects, singing and dancing, etc. I've always been a natural with children, because I love to do all the things they love to do like coloring, reading, building tents, playing dress up, and more! I'm very hands-on and creative in my teaching style and make weekly lessons that incorporate many different themes, songs, and activities. I also love to cook and involve children in the kitchen.
As a nanny, I am very professional and have gained valuable experience with children and their parents. I am a great communicator and am very friendly. I can talk about anything and everything. I am willing to go the extra mile to make sure I am taking the best care of the children and family.
Key Contributions:
*I have experience with special needs twins care.
*I was in charge of all childcare related duties including preparation of all meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner, & snacks), dressing, bathing, naps, diaper change, and potty training.
*I offered daily documentation to include a log of the children's day including meals, naps, activities, and other important information.
*I designed, prepared, and executed weekly lessons based upon a theme to encourage creative play and emphasize hands on learning. I used various fun activities, play, and interactive games and activities to develop language and vocabulary among the children.
*I sought out activities such as outings to the local parks, playgrounds, libraries, play dates, etc.
*I was responsible for all childcare related cleaning including laundry, dishes, vacuuming, cleaning children's bathroom, bedroom, and playrooms, changing bed linens, and organizing the play areas and light cleaning around the house during the nap times.
*I planned and prepared daily nutritional meals and snacks.
