I have about eight years of experience working with children throughout professional settings, babysitting, and 1 daughter of my own. I started babysitting when I was 12, and since then I have worked with many children with many different personalities and needs. My aunt and my cousins have kids and I babysit for them often and help take care of them whenever needed. I have done many babysitting jobs for people who are not in the family as well. I have served in my church nursery for four years working with babies and toddlers up to 2 1/2 years old. In August 2009, I started a teacher's aide job at an elementary school working with kindergartners. I worked five days a week, personal with each child, and through this have gained knowledge on how to handle certain actions/behaviors. I have also worked at the local YMCA teaching children gymnastics/tumbling. I love to work with children because they are so full of life! People do not only teach children, I believe children teach us as well. There are many lessons you could learn from them while at the same time instilling life lessons in them that will last forever.
