I started caring for children as a job when I was about 20 years old in an in-home daycare ran by Tammy. I finished my college education with an associates in clinical laboratory science but decided to continue working with children since I was expecting a child of my own so I went work for the Lafayette Parish school board as a substitute teacher. When the school year was over I still had three months until my due date and wanted to continue working so I found Mr. and Mrs. B. and kept an eye on two of their children that were too old for babysitter but just needed and extra eye and babysat two of their other children, one of which was special needs. I enjoy working with children but I also am a good tutor for older children of school age. I would have to bring my 4-month-old son with me on some days, but it would not be a problem. I am very used to working with more than one child at a time and my child is very low maintenance and would allow me to give me attention to other children.
