I nannied through my 20's for a family with five kids. I fell in love with them and became a part of the family. I ended up working for a friend of theirs as well when their kids started to be in school all day, so I juggled two families with five kids each in Southern California. It is amazing the benefits that both the family and I gained from the experience. We have all stayed close and I have continued to think of them as family. I watched them over a five year period and had kids from 6 to 13 and watched some of them through high school. I dealt with everything from helping the kids who were coming together as a new family, to get to know each other and handle conflict in a constructive way to helping them get back and forth to friends houses, sporting events, and being their to support them. Also helping them with homework, to have confidence, deal with typical issues like bullies, boyfriends, fitting in as well as cooking with them, for them and having a ton of fun!
