I am currently employed part-time by an Ann Arbor family with regularly scheduled after-school hours, but I am interested in on-call childcare as it comes up. Whether available or not, I will always respond to inquiries within 24 hours.

A little about me: I began babysitting formally at the age of 12, and since then I have been working with kids for most of my life. Throughout high school, I held two regular babysitting jobs for local families, and also worked as a day camp counselor for two summers in a row. I have been a live-in nanny, as well as a live-out nanny, and have experience with children of all ages.

When I do on-call work, I typically bring the "Nanny Bag," in which I pack all sorts of fun things: LOTS of books, activities, games, arts & crafts, costumes, etc. I will always alter what goes in the bag depending on the age group I'm working with! Also, because new sitters can often be scary for children, I will always try to fit in a "meet and greet" sometime before the actual childcare time if all of our schedules allow.

On-call childcare will always be a minimum of $15/hr for me, plus cost of gas if a longer drive is required. For more than two kids, the cost per hour will be higher. What you get in return as a parent is this: a responsible, mature adult willing to go above and beyond to entertain your children, make sure their needs are met, and most importantly, ensure their safety.
