I have babysat many times for various people over the years. The youngest I have cared for is about 3 years old. I was also the director of a before- and after-school care program in a county elementary/middle school for 2 years.

In addition to my babysitting experience, I also hold a minor in Child and Family Studies. Currently, I am enrolled in a full-time graduate program for Occupational Therapy. (Because of this partial background, I have been familiarized with individuals who have special needs. Although, I have not cared for them in a babysitting setting, I may be a better candidate for babysitting than an individual who has not had at least limited experience in this area.) As far as care-giving philosophy is concerned, I abide by the rules and guidelines given to me by the parents. I like to have fun with the children, but I can also recognize when the situation calls for me to enforce the rules. Typically, I have cared for families with 2 children, but 3 would most likely be acceptable, though it would also most likely be my limit.
