I am a 19-year-old college student, pursuing a career in psychology and teaching. I have 5 younger siblings that I have been watching for my parents since I was 13 years old. I have 4 sisters that are ages 10, 8, 3, and 6 months, and a brother that is 1 1/2. Also I have babysat for children around the same ages in my neighborhood, picking them up from school and getting them started on homework and preparing snacks. With such a wide range of ages I have had experience with the different stages that the children go through and are familiar with them. I really enjoy spending time and getting to know the children I have watched in the past, and work hard to make sure they feel safe and comfortable around me. I think babysitting and working with children is a great way for me to gain experience for becoming a teacher.
