I am looking to care for either boys or girls ages 2 through 10 years old. I love children and have none of my own, so I find it very enjoyable and fulfilling to work with, care for, and teach young children. I feel this really makes my life worth while and that maybe I am helping to make a difference in children's lives. I have 4+ years of college in Early Childhood Education courses and am planning to finish my degree but I really need to work so I am taking the summer off. I worked with my Aunt Kathleen, in her home daycare back in Cedar Rapids, Iowa for 2 years. We both cared for 6 children, 8 hours or more a day, 5 days a week. 4 girls and 2 boys-from 2 to 8 yrs. old. I fed, bathed, taught, played, and bonded with all these kids and hated leaving them when I moved to Colorado. I also had experience working with the toddlers when my classes required 60 hours of work there. I prepared lesson and meal plans, and I implemented them with this class. I enjoy working with children and have a very good friend who has a 18-month-old who I am crazy about and always spoiling. I also have three godsons who bring tremendous joy to my life.
