I have previously worked in child care at day care learning centers. I started as an aide in the 3-5-year-old room, which I did for one year. Later, I went back to work in the "Grizzley" room, which was for children in 1st - 5th grade. I took a course to qualify as a Group Leader. As an aide, I mostly had cleaning/set-up duties. As a Group Leader, I was one of the two individuals in charge of the room. I was responsible for opening/closing the room, greeting parents and informing them of daily activities, driving and chaperoning trip, etc.

I loved working with children. They make your day fun and make you feel appreciated and loved. I hope to get back into working with children, but I very much want to do so in a smaller setting.
