I grew up in a home with an in-home day care. I help my mom with jobs around the house including taking care of, feeding, cooking, changing, helping with crafts, entertaining and playing with the babies, toddlers and young children. I have been babysitting since I was 11 for family friends, daycare parents, and younger family members. I also have taken over my mom's in-home daycare for a few weeks when she had surgery on her feet and was immobile. I have nannied before, but only for a few weeks at a time. I am currently attending MNSU for special education. I just started my program and I love it a lot. I always knew I would grow up and work with kids and this fits me perfectly. I love that its teaches me how different each child is in every way and I love to learn about and understand each child's specific needs, likes, dislikes and the way they learn. I am comfortable with all children. I love to be outside and playing games with kids. I am very active with children. I won't just watch kids play on a playground, I climb up and play too. I am definitely a kid at heart. I still love to play dolls and do arts and crafts. I also love sports. I am a MN Twins fan! I believe in structure and schedule. I also love to encourage healthy foods. Some of my favorite foods are fruits and veggies. I do have a current job at the target in Mankato. I have worked with Target for over 5 years now, but I would much rather work with kids. I'm going to school to work with kids because I know in my heart it is what I was meant to do. I am also a morning person. I am up at 5:30 every morning, Monday through Friday and I have no problem with it.
