I began caring for children around January 2005, when I was 15. I would baby-sit my younger sister Monday through Friday, for 3 to 5 hours after school. Her care included preparing snacks, helping with homework, changing from her uniform to regular clothes, entertaining and starting dinner. This continued through mid April 2007, when I became a high school senior and was unable to provide constant care due to college credit courses and a part-time job to qualify me for my high school co-op program. I only had time to occasionally watch her on the weekends.

Upon my graduation, I was able to provide full-time care for my fiance's children before and after school, and all day during the holidays and summer breaks. During the school year, I dropped them off and picked them up at the bus stop, cooked, cleaned, kept house while they were at school, made after-school snacks, helped with homework and finally made dinner every night. I was also responsible for providing indoor and outdoor supervision, general discipline/teaching morals and ethics, educational activities during the summer, and transportation to various places such as vacation Bible Studies, doctor appointments, etc. The children are now living with their mother out of state, thus I have Monday-Saturday during the day available for care.

Between September 2009 and the end of December 2009 I was caring for a 4-year-old girl with Autism. Her mother recently married and moved to Indiana. She is a wonderful child and I am sad that I am unable to care for her anymore. Her care was very particular though. She required constant patience and loving care. I would pick her up from her classes Monday-Friday. After school there were certain learning activities/games that we would play to encourage development. I would also help her complete any work from school and give her a snack before her mother arrived to pick her up. Since their move, I am very much looking forward to obtaining a full-time or part-time position caring for children.

Feb 2010 to November 2011
I was employed at a licensed in-home daycare as a lead teacher. I was responsible for multiple age group's care, meals, daily lessons and adapting the lesson to all the ages.

Nov 2011 to July 2012

I have experience with all ages and I am very prompt and dependable. I am a student in college and have a clean background check, a perfect driving record, and am a non-smoker. At college I am working towards a degree in child psychology.
