My mother has always been busy with work, being a single mom. I've helped by taking care of my little sisters, even though I was just a little kid myself. Luckily, my sisters have grown and become responsible enough to not need me. However, I found that I missed the feeling of having someone that depended on me, that looked up to me, that I was responsible for. When I started babysitting every now and then for my aunts and neighbors, I found it again. The feeling of "completeness." Now, those little kids have also grown beyond the need of me as a babysitter.

So I am now in search of work as a babysitter. I have also been asked to do light cleaning and cooking and to care for small animals (dogs, guinea pigs, and cats) in addition to the children. With my excellent multi-tasking skills, I have yet to have an unsatisfied client.

I took a babysitting class when I was 14 and I am certified in both CPR and basic first aid. I have had the opportunity to work with children as young as 5, and 1 or 2 children at a time. However, I am confident that I can handle more.

I would feel most comfortable caring for 1 to 3 children, between 5 and 11 years old. I do not have a vehicle, but, with adequate notice, I can arrange a ride to and/or from your home. I am also very comfortable with animals.
