I have been involved in watching over and taking care of children since the approximate age of 14. The children I have taken care of children of numerous relatives, relatives, friends, and children of some neighbors. The age ranges with the children I have assisted with vary from infancy to toddler, and middle-school age children.
Caring for children is something I am passionate about and I believe I am good at. My passion began in middle school when I became involved in a Big Brother/Big Sister program within my school, in the program I was required to set a good example and help the children in learning activities, outdoor activities, and many creative activities. I took what I learned from those years and carried them into how I care for children now.
I support healthy lifestyles. With the children I am always willing to do outdoor activities, games, drawing, arts and crafts, reading, and any activity that will keep the mind and body active. I cook and make healthy foods and overall my personality is great. I am always sure to be positive, outgoing, supportive, and happy.
My goal is not to simply 'watch kids,' but to be a role model and give support while I am there. It is something I enjoy, kids are the foundation for the future, they need to be cared for in a positive and stimulating environment.
