Hello everyone,
Welcome to my profile. My name is Amanda and I am an Early Childhood Education Major. I am currently looking to become a nanny to earn money for my education. I currently have my Associates from Manchester Community College but am looking at continuing my education. I have had many great experiences with children from infants to age 12. I have also enjoyed working with children with special needs. Most currently, I have found myself babysitting for a wonderful and energetic 2-year-old girl. I also volunteer and work at the American School for the Deaf. There I volunteer in the Preschool Program aiding and teaching Deaf children. Furthermore, I have experience working with triplet toddlers by helping them with a speech delay. I have also been a nanny for two children for about a two years. When I began watching them they were ages 2 and 4 years old. I have also been involved in T.O.P Soccer which is a community program where mentors (such as myself) teach children with special needs how to play soccer. In addition, I have worked with my church in helping with Vacation Bible School and the children's Sunday school. I have had many opportunities to observe children because of my major. I have learned a lot about how to care for children and learned how they learn. When I watch children, I like to engage them in hands on and outdoor activities, limiting their t.v. use.
