I have a younger brother who has autism. He is 16 years old and I've been babysitting him since I was 13 years old. I still watch him on occasion. I also used to babysit a family friend's kids. She has 3 kids and one of the girls has Down Syndrome. I have 4 nephews including twins. The twins will be 2 in September, the other nephew will be 2 in December, and the last nephew will be a year old in October. I have helped take care of all of them and still do. In high school, I took a class called "Connecting" where I worked with special needs children and I loved it so much! Kids are my life and I love working with them. I worked at a children's center in Saline, Michigan for 2 months. Unfortunately, I had to quit because I moved to Canton and the drive was just too much for me. I absolutely love kids and want to be a special educator someday. :) I will be going to Washtenaw Community College in September, so my schedule will vary. I can definitely let you know my class schedule when I receive it!
