I began working with children for family members and soon became the go-to family sitter.
Besides looking after family, I have been a mother's helper for about six years for two little girls who love sports, playing in sandboxes, reading, and playing games. They are currently in the first and third grade. I was responsible for meals, laundry, light cleaning, homework help, and play time. I was also responsible for naps and bedtimes, so I am well aware of the difficulties of getting children ready for bed when they still want to play one more game, or decide they need a snack at the last minute.

I also have experience with special needs. Two summers ago, I was a nanny for an autistic 11-year-old male full time. We frequently went out on field trips to museums, churches, and rides on trains.

I also have been a tutor for four years. I have worked a volunteer one-on-one and in smaller groups at schools, after school activities, and privately.
