I enjoy working with young children. I used my B.A. degree in music to provide a rich learning environment for my own five children and for the children in my licensed home child care which I owned and operated from 1993 until 1999. I worked at the NAEYC Accredited Child Care Center at Boise State University for almost five years as an assistant teacher for one year and the remaining time as a lead teacher for 3 to 5-year-olds. While living in California, I completed my AA Degree in ECE. While in California, I worked as a substitute in the California preschool system from 11/2004 until 8/2009. I earned the preschool teaching credential of site supervisor.
It is my life passion to ignite the love of learning in children. From acting out the musical story of "The Three Little Pigs" to raising butterflies in our classroom. I believe each child is special, unique and deserves caring and quality care to provide a foundation for their lifelong learning process.
