I've been babysitting my younger siblings since I was 10. I started babysitting for my neighbor when I was 13 when they had 3 boys ages 5, 3, and under 1. I watched them two days a week during the school year for about 3 hours at a time and occasionally on weekends for up to 6 hours. I watched them for about 3 years until they moved away. By this time there were 5 boys in the family. I have also babysat for my mom's friends and family members on many occasions. In high school I was in a gifted program where I excelled in math and science. I was offered the opportunity to tutor elementary and middle school students because of this. So, I also have experience tutoring young children in math and can help with homework.
In addition, I recently had a baby boy. He was born in March 2012. So, I am very comfortable with very young children. This will not limit my availability though since my mother is more than willing to watch him when necessary.
