I am interested in taking care children part time or full time. I enjoy working with children very much. I used to babysit for several people in my neighborhood. The age of the children I watched were from 1 yrs old to about 8 yrs old. Also, when I was in high school I worked for a daycare at the church I went to. When I first started there, I was in the 2-3 yr class room. I later moved to the 4-5 yr old class room. I would set them up in little stations to color, do puzzles, or just play with blocks in the carpet. I also tried to teach them how to write and identify there letters in the alphabet. I was responsible for setting them up on their cots for nap time and preparing their snack for when they woke up. I also would take care of the infants while the other workers took their brakes. After high school I worked as a private day care provider. I was responsible for taking care of a 2 yr old boy. I would take him in the morning and feed him breakfast. We would play and read books after that until it was time for lunch. I would feed him lunch and then set him down for a nap. I would clean and prepare a snack for when he woke up and then play until it was time to leave.
