My experience with caring for children is listed below.

For two years, I was a babysitter, mother's helper, and housekeeper for a family of 7 children, ages birth through 13 years. For four summers, I was a summer camp counselor for children ages 4 through 10 years. I was also the assistant director for two youth programs. The first program experience I had lasted 1.5 years and I worked with inner city youth ages 8 to 14 years. The program focused on academics, spirituality, and friendship. The second program lasted 3 months in the summer with Hispanic youth ages 6 through 12 years. I taught daily math lessons, assisted with program functionality, and field trips. I was also a co-fifth grade teacher for catechism classes for one year; the second year I was a substitute for this program. I am currently an assistant toddler teacher and have been since December 2011. I was originally an aide for the same company working with persons aged from birth through age 5. This experience was a little bit longer than 1. 5 years.

I have 9 credit hours in early education and 30 credit hours in elementary education with various teaching experiences associated with these classes. My undergraduate degree is Sociology. I am currently completing my masters degree in School Counseling.
