Children have always played an influential role in my life. For three years I have worked at a daycare every other Friday at a country club and watched various numbers of children (most was 10) while their parents go out. Since I was in about the eighth grade, I have coached soccer camps for youth players of all ages. Every summer since, I have coached at least two soccer camps each summer and helped at weekly clinics throughout the year. Also, since the sixth grade I have been an aide/helper at my church's Summer Vacation Bible School with the preschool classes. This year, I am proud to say that I will not only be an aide, I will be a teacher and be responsible for an entire classroom of preschoolers. For two years I was a sixth -grade camp counselor through a school program. For four years I have been a VIP Buddy for mentally challenged children soccer camps. Through this program you pair up with a buddy and help them as they learn to play soccer. Not only have I had experience and responsibility with children through various programs and activities, I have also babysat since the sixth grade (I am now graduating). For two years I babysat a family of four children (ages 1, 5, 7, 11) every Saturday morning and various nights. For two summers I was a nanny for a family that lived in my neighborhood (ages 8, 10) and another summer for a family with two children (ages 2, 6). I have been babysitting for as long as I have stayed home alone; there are many families in my neighborhood that can reference me upon request as well as other families that I have provided sitting services for. I truly have a large heart and consider myself a kid at heart. I am very responsible and at the same time can put a smile on any child's face.
