I have worked with children since 2008. I was a caregiver at a youth shelter working with at risk boys and girls ages 10-18. I was responsible for all the medication being dispensed and the medical needs of the children. This position was challenging and valuable in order for me to gain experience in the supervision and needs of children. For the last three years I have been an assistant at a Montessori School teaching children ages 3-6. I love to teach, explore, be outdoors, read, sing songs and play with the children I work with. I have had many challenging experiences working with children and have had to use quick judgement and problem solving skills to work through those experiences. In the classroom setting it was my responsibility to supervise, encourage learning, help solve problems, and assist the child in his own exploration of the world around him.
