To tell you a little about myself, first off my name is Alexis. I am currently enrolled at the University of Houston as a biology major and a psychology minor on a pre-med track. In addition, I am also a cross country/track and field athlete here at the University as well. Last semester I earned both a spot on the Dean's List and the Athletic Academic Medal for my 3.93 GPA. I value my education because I plan to go into pediatrics after medical school. That being said, my love for pediatrics stems from my love for children. I understand it sounds cliche, but as a big sister to both a 4-year-old brother and a 2-year-old sister, as well as a 3 year babysitter to a 3-year-old boy and a now 13-month-old boy, I have had more than enough experience with dirty diapers, tantrums, and crying to waver this affection if this love didn't exist. That said, I am very comfortable with infants. I have taken a babysitting course and have been CPR certified if that shows anymore how committed I am to the job. I also worked at Bass Pro Shops as a Children's Camp Instructor this past summer. I understand an interview is much more reassuring no matter what facts are stated.
