Hello I am currently a stay at home mom looking for a long term babysitting opportunity. I have a passion for caring and nurturing young children. I believe that the first 5 years of a child's life create the building blocks that they need to grow to make a difference for the future. I love to teach children and watch the miraculous ways they grow and develop. It is my priority to provide a safe, positive, fun, and educational environment for children. Be assured that safety is always a priority to me. I am first aid and CPR certified. My childcare experience began when I was 12 years-old working as a mother's helper. Then, as a teenager, I began to do some after school babysitting (various aged children). When I was 16, I was hired at a daycare in Paramus, NJ, as an afternoon classroom aide (experience gained with children 8 weeks to kindergarten). I worked in this position while completing high school and while earning my Bachelor of Biology degree from St. Thomas Aquinas College in Sparkill, NY. In January of 2008, I gave birth to my beautiful baby boy. Upon returning to work, after maternity leave in March of 2008, I was promoted to a full-time assistant teacher position. I worked with toddlers (2-3-year-old children) in this position until November of 2010, when I moved here to Florida. I have extensive knowledge of curriculum for young children and have done work writing curriculum in the toddler class I worked in. I love doing crafts, reading books, and playing games to help children learn and grow in a fun way. If parents are open to it, I would be happy to go on some outings. For example: to parks, zoos, libraries or other places.
