Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Alex. I am a 19-year-old freshman college student. I absolutely love caring for children of all ages and genders and am very hands on. I am doing well academically (made the dean's list first semester), and have become very involved in my college community. One of my qualities is leadership skills. I received leadership awards throughout grade school and high school and have been appointed a position of leadership in my sorority as well. I am currently going to school to be a nurse in hopes to pursue my nursing career in a pediatric hospital. I shadowed at St. Louis Children's Hospital and adored all the patients cared for. I believe that I am very responsible, know how to act in stressful, emergency situations, how to deal with sibling fights (I have 2 of my own!), can help with homework, and am very respectful of the parents' wishes. The past 3 summers, 2009-2011, I have babysat part-time. Since the seventh grade I have babysat for multiple families throughout the school year. I have watched up to four children at at a time but am comfortable with more or less. I have a vehicle and am comfortable driving the kids around. I really enjoy doing many types of activities with the kids, both girls and boys! I am a hard worker, motivated to do my best in everything I try. I am extremely responsible and caring and would love and appreciate the opportunity to provide care for your child. I understand the complexity of family life as both of my parents work full time. I feel I could help bridge the gap that is often felt when schedules are busy and both parents work outside the home. Hope to hear form you soon!
