I love children and I love working with them. I was a substitute preschool teacher when I was 16 at a place called Trinity Lutheran Childcare in Gardnerville, Nevada. In my class I worked with children ages 18 months to 3 years old. I have my First aid/CPR/Communicable disease certificate. While I was there I maintained a clean and sterile environment, children during the structured schedule outside, inside, during snack time, lunch time and nap time. When I had free time I would go into the other classrooms and help there. The ages ranged from 4 years old to 7 years old. I would participate in games, arts and crafts and other learning activities.
After I left that job I did numerous babysitting jobs on the side from a few weeks old to 5 years old. I took a break from babysitting for a while after I graduated and I focused on my family. Then almost a year ago my aunt gave birth to a baby with Trisomy 18 and I watched her day and night, weekends and holidays, before work and after work until she passed and I realized that I love being around kids. I am a responsible, caring and loving person. I take care of the children and make sure they are safe and cared for.
