My mom has done day care out of our home for my whole life. So I have always grown up around other kids and making new friends. The older I got, the more I loved kids. I put up fliers when I was about 13 for baby-sitting jobs in my neighborhood and got an amazing response, I still baby-sit for some of those people today. I also was a part-time nanny when I didn't have school for three wonderful children. It was then that I really learned how much I loved children. It was also then when I discovered that I had a lot more patience and love for kids than I could have ever imagined. My plan was to go for pediatric nursing since seventh grade, but my life has gone in a slightly different direction and I plan to purse a degree in special needs education this fall. I also work for Abrakadoodle Art, teaching art from ages 2 through 4th grade. Children are that bit of happiness in my life that I cannot live without. They don't care what you look like or what your wearing, just come with a smile, a happy heart, and be ready to play. My 3-year-old nephew as also reminded me over the past couple years that getting down in the mud and playing is really fun! I love being outside, going for walks, picnics, scrap booking, swimming, bike riding, and being active. I also enjoy peaceful times, but I am more of an outgoing type.
