I am a non-smoker who is very energetic and hands on. I am very excited to find and work for a family and help make your life a little easier. I am 22 years of age and mother to a happy 18-month-old boy. He is awesome, well behaved, and allows me to be able to help other families. I have 5 years of customer service experience in 3 retail stores and a family restaurant. I have completed some college, majoring in graphic design and photography and am planning to finish in the near future. I have 9 wonderful years of child care experience and looking forward to many more. I have my own transportation. My family has recently relocated from Hatboro, PA, back to my husband's home town in Berlin, MD. Since I am a newer mom, I figured this website would be my best bet for finding a new, safe and friendly employer. I began babysitting when I was just 12 years old. I have watched after all kinds of children of different ages and abilities. I am continually finding fun ways of involving everyone in activities. I definitely discovered that the arts are a great way of tying every gender and age together. It can be as simple as a coloring contest with a winner from each age bracket or something extra special like tie-dyeing t-shirts. As long as it involves something colorful, sticky, and scissors or ripping, it is enjoyable for all. Sing-a-longs have also been a hit and my lack of dancing skill is always entertaining for any age. I am also a fan of nature and enjoy being outside any chance I can get. Sometimes it's fun to pack a water, homemade trail mix, and toilet paper roll binoculars and hike around the neighborhood and do some bird watching.

I do not believe babysitting is simple. A babysitter does not come with your cable bill so your sitter should not come with a TV remote. There are endless possibilities of entertainment for children and the television is my last choice while sitting. I believe in keeping everyone physically and mentally active whenever possible. Babysitting is a job that takes spirit, enthusiasm, responsibility and loving care. I know that I have these traits and am looking forward to being able to share them with your family.
