Adriana worked for us for almost exactly 3 months. During the first half of the time she was with us, she was punctual and fulfilled all her scheduled days. After some time, she began missing work and giving us very short notice. Her excuses were: schoolwork, trips, and barbeques with her family. We put up with it for some time because our 10 month old son was already familiar with her and because she did work well with us for the first month. Little did we know, she'd turn out to be the most unreliable person we knew. She had committed to work with us for the entire summer, travel to the Hamptons, and help out during our son's 1st birthday party. We worked with her school schedule and expected her to start on a Monday (after classes and exams ended) On that Monday, she sent me a long text saying that she was no longer able to come in on the days she had promised because her aunt had offered her a better job and she needed to "help" her. She didn't bother to call, didn't give notice, and did not even bother to offer to work for a week until we could find a replacement. Just like that- I was left scrambling in the midst of this busy summer month looking for help and starting to interview people again. My husband and I were outraged. She did not seem bothered one bit by this and continued to defend her position stating that it was not her fault and that this job just happened to come up. One other small but annoying issue that we had to address with her was her work attire. Embarrassingly enough, my husband was the one who brought it to my attention and told me I should bring it to hers. She almost always came into work wearing very tight revealing clothes and pants so low that my husband and I both knew her undergarment color and style daily. Anyone considering this person as a candidate should know this especially if you have her work with older children. She was most unprofessional and we had to let her go immediately. I gave her two stars because she did work hard and seemed dedicated in the beginning. Use caution with this candidate.
