Hello! I have been giving child care for about 10 years now (the first 4 as a Mother's Helper the last 6 years as a nanny/sitter) some times have been much more formal than others but I enjoyed them all equally. Prior to the summer of 2010 I worked for parents of children in the neighborhood as well as aunts and uncles for evenings and nights as needed. For the summer of 2010 I babysat three sisters (3, 6 and 8) for 4 days a week from 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. but often I stayed later and helped out the girls' mother. My primary tasks when watching the girls was to make sure everyone played nicely, make all of them breakfast and lunch, play outside (although most days it was a little too hot -- usually over 100 degrees), help the two older girls do their Summer Bridge Books, and practice piano with the girls for 20 minutes each. In addition I always tried to leave the house cleaner than it was when I got there. I have babysat on many other occasions as well -- both boys and girls from 3-year-olds to 13-year-olds and almost every age in between. I am a huge sports enthusiast, a fan of nature, a skilled musician and am fluent in both French and English. I love having a good fun time (even on the rainier days) and am not afraid to get a little dirty.
