I am a 19-year-old experienced babysitter and care giver with a wide range of skills and many years of watching children of varying ages and abilities. I am currently a respite care provider for a boy with Downs Syndrome (nonverbal and completely dependent), on top of watching over his two 8-year-old sisters. I have also watched after infants.
My various skills include bathing children, cooking, baking, cleaning, sewing, organizing, tutoring, following detailed instructions, taking children outside of the home to various activities and events and maintaining a balance between being a child's friend and also their superior. When I watch after kids, they have fun, get their chores and homework done, eat a good meal and get to bed on time (after a superior "tucking in" service), all while their house stays clean and everything remains business-as-usual.
Some of my favorite ways to pass time with kids I babysit are story time, playing hair salon (my hair is theirs to completely mess up), crafts, baking, going to a park, watching their favorite movies and just goofing around with them.
Now, a bit about me - I am a full-time student at Webster University. I live on my own in an apartment a few miles off-campus. I am financially independent, responsible, trustworthy and very able. My only weakness is occasional tardiness (usually due to awful traffic); however, I am working very hard at time-management in order to remedy the issue. I don't have much of a social life as most of it is devoted to schoolwork, working out and my two small jobs back home in Alton, Illinois. I do not smoke or drink, I own one cat and have my own reliable car for transportation.
Any other questions? Feel free to ask, and I will answer honestly and fully.
